Join us at the upcoming in-person seminar "State of Philadelphia's Affordable Homeownership Development" on Monday, May 12 from 2-5pm at Center for DesignPhiladelphia (1218 Arch Street, Philadelphia, PA 19107).
At this event, panelists and speakers will discuss new ideas that are being explored and participants will learn how non-profits, the private sector, and government agencies are collaborating within the homeownership affordable development and investing space.
CONVERGENCE Philadelphia, a Mortgage Bankers Association initiative, is a cross-sector partnership focused on increasing minority homeownership in Philadelphia. This collective-action approach promotes more sustainable, affordable homes for purchase and rental for underserved people and communities, especially minorities and low-to-moderate income Americans.Both current and prospective macroeconomic conditions have impacted Philadelphia's affordable housing supply.
What is needed for us to help the City achieve Mayor Parker's goal of 30,000 new and preserved units through the H.O.M.E. Initiative?
At this event, panelists and speakers will discuss new ideas that are being explored and participants will learn how non-profits, the private sector, and government agencies are collaborating within the homeownership affordable development and investing space.

- David Langlieb (Executive Director, Philadelphia Accelerator Fund)
- Portia Thomas (Owner, Brass Key Builders)
- Thomas Webster (Chief Program Officer, Black Squirrel Collective)
- Elizabeth Frantz (Senior Director, Reinvestment Fund)
- Kirk Copa (Vice President, Radian).

CONVERGENCE Philadelphia encourages any professional working on affordable housing initiatives, bridging the homeownership gap, and/or anyone passionate for housing equality to attend.
The event is free for all MBA EPA Members - which includes a networking happy hour following the panelists.
The venue is easily accessible via public transportation. If driving, there is both nearby street parking and paid garage spaces.
